Dear Mr. Becker,
My name is Kaylie P and I am a 7th grader at Nagel Middle School in Cincinnati, Ohio. I understand that you have experience with public policy and are involved in corporate giving. I am working on a project that requires me to research the problems of ancient Rome to use current solutions to solve them. My topic is the waste management system. I was wondering if you could answer a few quesitons for me?
1. Do you know of laws that are created to ensure people do not have poor waste removal in their community?
2. Do corporations ever contribute to the growing costs of waste management?
3. Ancient Rome would dump much of their waste into the Tiber River. This caused a spread of sickness. Do you know of any policy that prevents this from happening today?
